About Me

About Me
My name is Karen Pennock and in 2008 I founded PetStatic as an alternative to kennels and catterys, while progressing with clients I have developed numerous different services that could make taking care of your pets easier.
I would like to tell you a little more about me and what experience I have.
Qualified
I am seven years qualified in animal management, care and welfare with a canine first aid and exotic qualification. Be assured that I am CRB checked and a Registered National Petsitter with NARP (www.dogsit.com).
As soon as I finished school I started college and completed a first and national diploma in animal management and care, where I covered a variety of animals from farm yard to cats, dogs, small furies to snakes, lizards, tortoises and other exotic animals including birds and parrots. During these courses I covered canine first aid and basic canine traning.
I then moved on to University in Shropshire where I studied a degree in animal welfare and management. During the course I covered in more depth how animals are cared for in different environments, thier anatomy and many different welfare issues.
Experience
Throughout my life I have had a house full of animals, including hamsters, cats chinchillas, rabbits, guinea pigs, fish, lizards and now my biggest challenge yet a cheeky border collie named Quigley.
During all of my studies I have worked in many different environments including kennels and catteries, animal shelters and zoos. All of this provided me with the knowledge and experience I needed for my work. I enjoy caring for and interacting with animals and I look forward to doing the same for your pets.
